The agreement between the Government of the Republic of Belarus and the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran on a mutual trade facilitation system was signed today in Seoul by the Heads of the customs services of the Republic of Belarus and the Islamic Republic of Iran. The document was approved in Seoul as part of the work of the Political Commission of the World Customs Organization.
The provisions of the Agreement define the basic principles for the transfer of information on the movement of goods and vehicles in accordance with the technical conditions for the exchange of information between the customs authorities of the two states, norms, standards and recommendations of the UN, WCO, national legislations and best practices for the exchange of information.
The practical implementation of the Agreement will facilitate mutual trade, increase efficiency and reduce the time for customs control. Also such facilitations will contribute to an increase in trade between the Republic of Belarus and the Islamic Republic of Iran and the creation of comfortable conditions for foreign economic activity.
