An attempt to illegally move specialized ammunition equipment across the border was stopped at the Brest checkpoint.
A 34-year-old Belarusian citizen traveling from Poland in an Audi passenger car chose a green corridor to cross the border and confirmed that he had no goods to declare.
He hid 32 pieces of devices and equipment for making and reloading cartridges in his personal belongings. Customs officers found them during the inspection of the man's travel bags.
The total estimated cost of the matrices seized before the court's decision for equipping cartridges, machines for trimming cartridges, sleeve holders, reloading presses and others amounted to more than 22 thousand rubles.
Brest Customs has initiated an administrative process against the citizen in accordance with Part 2 of Article 15.1 of the Administrative Code of the Republic of Belarus. The sanction of the article provides for a fine of up to 30 basic units and confiscation of hidden goods.
