Grodno customs officers found a batch of various products illegally imported into the territory of the EAEU with a total value of more than 900 thousand rubles in the truck of the Lithuanian carrier.
A deliberate violation of the law in order to underestimate the customs duties to be paid was revealed at the Benyakoni checkpoint, where the DAF vehicle arrived with undeclared five tons of goods.
These are ingredients for the food and pharmaceutical industries, raw materials for the production of biologically active additives, coffee, pasta, canned goods, and more.
The Grodno Regional Customs has initiated administrative proceedings against the carrier in accordance with Part 1 of Article 155 of the Administrative Code of the Republic of Belarus.
According to the sanction of the article, he will have to pay a fine of up to 30% of the value of illegally imported goods, and also pay about 250 thousand rubles of customs duties for them.
