The first meeting of the public advisory council this year was held today at the State Customs Committee under the leadership of the Chairman of the department, Vladimir Orlovsky.
The event was attended by representatives of business, academia, customs authorities and subordinate enterprises, as well as political parties of Belarus.
The participants recognized the effective results of the joint work of customs and foreign trade participants, and the launch of new joint projects this year was a success.
"In the context of the unfriendly policy pursued by Western countries, the interaction of customs authorities and business plays a key role in ensuring our foreign economic activity. Maximum flexibility in facilitating its implementation while unconditionally ensuring the economic security of the state is a task that we are effectively solving together," said Vladimir Orlovsky.
The meeting discussed topical issues of statistical declaration of goods, the transfer of goods or the replacement of vehicles without removing customs seals and seals, the implementation of new projects aimed at optimizing customs operations.
The participants exchanged views on the planned changes in legislation in the field of customs regulation for the current year.
The agenda also included an overview of the Main directions of development of the Customs service of the Republic of Belarus for 2026-2030, focused on the creation of intelligent customs with automation of processes, the use of artificial intelligence and the transition to digital control in real time.
