It takes two minutes for goods to be released as part of a customs experiment on remote export release
In order to optimize approaches to customs operations, the Belarusian customs has been conducting an experiment on remote release of goods, placed under the customs export procedure since April 2019. The project, which is being implemented on the basis of Mogilev customs, is aimed at optimizing approaches to customs operations.
The essence of the experiment is that export goods of business entities in the Minsk, Grodno and Brest regions are issued by Mogilev customs, and customs control over these goods is carried out in the region of activity of another customs.
At the initial stage of the experiment business entities, operating in the Minsk region, took part Since July 2019, the project has been extended to business entities located in the regions of operation of the Brest and Grodno regional customs offices.
This year, more than 11.5 thousand declarations have already been issued in this way, and since the beginning of the experiment – 42 thousand. More than 90 business entities take part in the project, and the average time for the release of such goods is 2 minutes.
