Brest customs officials found that the truck, which was traveling from Germany to the territory of the Eurasian economic Union, moved 14 thousand units of auto parts more than was stated in the shipping documents.
The violation was detected at the checkpoint "Kozlovichi", through which a VOLVO truck was traveling. The fact that there are more car parts in the road train than indicated in the documents was established using the X-ray inspection complex. Already further customs inspection confirmed this information: the semi-trailer moved more than 14 thousand units of undeclared brake discs, fuel pumps, windscreen wipers and other.
According to preliminary estimates, the total cost of illegally transported cargo was more than 210 thousand belarusian rubles.
Upon non-declaration by the Brest customs, an administrative process was initiated in accordance with part 1 of article 14.5 of the administrative Code of the Republic of Belarus. The sanction of this article provides for a fine of up to 30% of the value of goods that are the subjects of an administrative offense, without their confiscation.
