Since the beginning of may, when conducting special events, Mogilev operatives have established 12 facts of illegal movement of fruits by Russian individual entrepreneurs on the territory of the EEU. Trucks with this product were heading to the Belarusian-Russian border, where their movement was suspended.
In the cargo compartments of vehicles, there were a total of more than 83 tons of pears, apples, and other types. The total cost of fruits was about 125 thousand belarusian rubles.
In all cases, the goods did not have the necessary shipping documents, including phytosanitary certificates confirming the safety of products for the consumer. In addition, some of the drivers have previously been prosecuted for similar offenses.
On the fact of violations of the law by Mogilev customs in respect of carriers – citizens of the Russian Federation, administrative proceedings have been initiated in accordance with part 4 of article 12.17 of the administrative Code of the Republic of Belarus. This article provides for the imposition of a fine on an individual entrepreneur or legal entity - up to fifty percent of the cost of the subject of an administrative offense, the amount of revenue received from the sale of goods.
