Vitebsk customs officers stopped the import of fish products without shipping documents to the territory of Belarus.
The Renault vehicle, whose traffic was suspended in the dubrovensky district, was coming from the Russian Federation. During the inspection, it was found that about 700 kg of fish products are moved in the cargo compartment of the minibus: preserves, dried fish in the assortment. The driver did not provide any accompanying documents, including veterinary certificates, confirming the safety of products for the consumer.
In the future, as a result of control measures of the Vitebsk regional inspection of the state standard and the Vitebsk transport veterinary and sanitary section, it was found that the product does not meet the requirements of the technical regulations of the Customs Union and the Eurasian economic Union, therefore, this product is not allowed for release and circulation in the customs territory.
The cost of fish products was more than 3 thousand rubles. Upon violation of the law, customs initiated an administrative process in accordance with part 4 of article 12. 17 of the administrative Code of the Republic of Belarus. The article's sanction entails a fine of up to 30 basic units for the driver, and up to 50% of the cost of the subject of the administrative offense for the carrier company.
