The 34th meeting of the joint collegium of customs services of the Customs Union member States was held in Brest today. The participants discussed issues of practical interaction and improvement of customs administration mechanisms on the territory of the Eurasian economic Union.
The event was attended by Chairman of the State customs Committee of Belarus Yuri Senko, head of the Federal customs service of the Russian Federation Vladimir Bulavin, Deputy Chairman of state revenue Committee of the Republic of Armenia Shushanik Nersesyan, Deputy Chairman of state revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan Geidar Interbev, first Deputy Chairman of the State customs service under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic Sultan of Mamasadykov, Member of the Board (Minister) for customs cooperation of the Eurasian economic Commission Nurlan Akmatov, Chairman of the Brest regional Executive Committee Anatoly Lis, experts of customs authorities of the member States of the Eurasian economic Union.
During the meeting, 24 issues were considered, 14 of which were initiated by the Belarusian customs service. In particular, Belarusian customs officials discussed the organization of a pilot project on the use of navigation devices for container transport of goods transported by rail in the China-Europe-China connection; the need to take measures to prevent the import of hazardous waste into the territory of the Eurasian economic Union; the development of pre-customs declaration, the use of the tax-free system on the territory of the Eurasian economic Union and others.
A number of decisions have been adopted that affect customs simplifications, coordination of joint actions, information interaction, as well as unification of the application of customs legislation and customs regulation.
The participants also analyzed the implementation of decisions of the 33rd meeting of the joint Board of customs services of the Customs Union member States, approved the action Plan of working groups under the joint Board of customs services of the Customs Union member States for 2020.
Heads of customs services of the member States of the Eurasian economic Union, participants and experts visited the national Park "Belovezhskaya Pushcha" and the Memorial complex "Brest fortress-hero", where they paid tribute to the soldiers, who died during the great Patriotic war.
The collegium is designed to coordinate the activities of the customs services of the parties, participate in the formation of a unified legal framework of the Eurasian economic Union in terms of their competence, and ensure uniform application of the customs legislation of the EAEU.
