At the site of the Eurasian economic Commission, the member States of the Eurasian economic Union initiated the beginning of work on making changes and additions to the current Customs code of the Eurasian economic Union.
The need to adjust and supplement the norms of the Code arose taking into account the practice of its application. The state customs Committee has already considered more than 150 initiative proposals, submitted by the Eurasian economic Commission and the EEU member States.
It should be noted that this is only the beginning of large-scale work to improve the main customs document. Currently, each of the five member countries of the EEU has begun to form a package of proposals that includes the position of government agencies and the business community.
To coordinate this work, it is planned to create a Working group consisting of representatives of the EEC and member States, and to work directly on the draft document – an expert group.
By August 1, 2020, the Belarusian customs will send initiatives from the Republic of Belarus to the Eurasian economic Commission.
